OVERVIEW
CUNY Votes is a university-wide initiative spanning all 26 colleges, designed to increase voter participation and civic engagement among students across the CUNY system.
CUNY Votes is a university-wide initiative spanning all 26 colleges, designed to increase voter participation and civic engagement among students across the CUNY system.
Goal
Develop a poster campaign that invites students to vote in a way that is direct yet non-preachy. Drawing inspiration from war-era propaganda, the visuals should reinterpret thier boldness and clarity through a tone of friendliness and approachability. The campaign should stand out across both campus environments and digital platforms.
Below are the initial drafts, which directly reference vintage propaganda posters through rigid cubist forms. These elements are gradually softened in later iterations.
A design direction that moves away from the heavy propaganda-inspired approach in favor of a softer, more contemporary aesthetic.
